it's finally here. my 1st traditional deviation.& it's no masterpiece I know.
for a while now I've been following a couple of art classes & trying more traditional techniques.
this piece is such ab experiment in working with ink & watercolor.
it's a dipiction of a scene from the fairytale about a young man who set-out to learn what fear was.
the drawing & inking were done a little to fast & rough for my liking (especially the hanging corpses) & the scanning proces doesn't do the piece much good.
but I am still a bit proud of my little classic fairytale illustration.

Oh my gosh! The Man Who Learned to Shiver! I love this tale! I have the 1943 edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales from my grandfather. This story is a good read for anyone who wants a good chill.

it was a lot of fun to mix & apply those colors.
the sky was a difficult one to get right.

Love you classic horror fairy tale touch.But i know that you could do more than this my friend.Still this creates the mood.You should redo this if you have enough time .

you are totally right I really could do this one better.
it really was a quick study piece & the biggest reason I put it on here was that it was the 1st traditional piece I could scan in half decently.
so maybe in the future youll see more & better works like this aside from my digital pieces.
