She nodded, mopping her eyes, but in spite of herself, she half smiled.
"You'd better be in Slytherin," said Snape, encouraged that she had brightened a little.
"Slytherin?"
One of the boys sharing the compartment, who had shown no interest at all in Lily or Snape until that point, looked around at the word, and Harry, whose attention had been focused entirely on the two beside the window, saw his father: slight, black-haired like Snape, but with that indefinable air of hacing been well-cared-for, even adored, that Snape so conspicuously lacked.
"Who wants to be in Slytherin? I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?" James asked the boy lounfing on the seats opposite him, and with a jolt, Harry realized that is was Sirius. Sirius did not smile.
"My whole damily have been in Slytherin," he said.
"Blimey," said James, "and I thought you seemed all right!"

Ok, so I kept getting requests for Snape (of all people 8| I like him fine, I just don't really draw him much. Well, I don't like him, but he's interesting. Rat bastard- sorry that just came out of no where. XD)

So anyways, I decided that Snape as a child was much nicer than some of the others. Plus, I haven't seen anyone draw this one yet.

Anywho, James is all 'OMG! Slytherin sucks and Gryffs are lyke totally the s***!' He is a preppy bastard, but he's adorable all the same. He's such a spazoid.

Snape is all 'grrr, I don't like anyone talking to me, but Lily, like evah!' He is grumpy and not really all that better looking as a child.

And Lily's all 'what's up with this jackass?' about James. She's darling.

And Sirius is all 'Why is everything in my life so damn boring?' He's already a player, you know, just look at him lounging.
