Omg, somebody that knows this movie!! It annoyed me when PotC came out and suddenly everyone *loved* Johnny Depp "'cause he's, like, such a good actor!" And yet they had never seen (or heard of) Benny & Joon OR What's eating Gilbert Grape? In my opinion, two of his best films.

Oh yes! I'd been a fan of his for years and years prior to POTC. Frankly, after that first movie, I hadn't liked much of his work for a while- felt derivative and too campy. I have high hopes with this new mobster movie 'Black Mass.'

Well, I did enjoy Sweeney Todd. The ending was just so unhappy. I would have liked to have seen the play, though. Especially with Angela Lansbury, expecting her to bust out with "a tale as old as time" at any moment
