Because I usually see Vlad in his usual snarky, sly, monsterous expressions. Not that I do not love them or anything, I actually think he looks bad ass when he's in his "monster" mode, but I just prefer to see a more vunerable, human, and not so black and white perception of Vlad.

Just my personal preference anyway.

Yeess. I love the profile here. I personally love the lips - mainly because that's the hardest thing for me to do. I find it literally impossible to draw a profile. This looks so absolutely perfect. <3

X3 Hee~ I was in the mood for Vlad and this was a good profile, albeit from a while ago. I was pleased with the nose in particular. So I colored it.

The swirly things were because it was just a head-up profile and I needed something so fill the space, so what better than Vlad's signature color? LOL
