Description
Varassi suffers from the effects of accelrated evolution, after the medicine to supress it wasn't administerd in time she became a Cosmic Being to the loss of her friends and life.

I really wanted to use this piece to mess with effects and backgrounds, giving the character a cosmic and semi-corporal theme to emphisise there detachment from what they were before.

Hi fromΒ Β Β :
I like the colors, it makes the character glow and god-like.
The body looks a bit strange though, he seems to be looking backward over the shoulder
I miss some details of his arms/wings.
Overall i like the colors in this painting as they are harmonious.
A bit more details on the background would make this work even more story-telling!
The radiant hair is a nice contrast to the rest color scheme.

Thanks I was going for a solar fire effect, I think I may have found a solution to the detail problem now thanks to all the wonderful critiques I've searched up some new methods. It does tend to blend.

In addition to what has already been said about glowing outlines etc... is maybe tone down the hair a little so that it fades a bit more and have the face more colored in so that we don't forget that there is a being under there despite her loss of freinds and previous life. Love teh background.

Hi there! I'm from I can't say I know where this is from, but from the brief description you've given it sounds like a pretty interesting story! I really love all of the colors that you've used and I like the swirling effects around her body to give the impression of power. The contrast of her hair color is a nice touch too, since it helps the person looking at the picture to find her face.Β
Something to consider though! I'm having a hard time finding...HER in this picture. I can see her face and her lovely hair and then her shoulders, but then the rest of her kind of gets lost in the background. I can't really tell which way she's facing, where her arms are, or what she's doing really, and it's a shame to lose that when you worked so hard on getting her to look right! It might help to put a glowing outline around her to help draw her out of that pretty background. Also! Things that are closer to the viewer are usually clearer since they're more in focus. Maybe try making clearer, sharper lines for her body so you can easily tell what you're supposed to be focusing on.Β
This is a very nice picture with lovely colors and lots of promise! I hope you keep making incredible art!

Varassi has lost so much. It's sad because the life she used to have no longer exists. But,in order for her to thrive, she needs to be strong. This is one of the prettiest & most meaningful paintings I've ever seen. The vivid lights of the Aurora Borealis, the stars that fill the sky,the flaming red hair. All of these things help to express the very essence of cosmic energy. I just hope that she can return to her normal life.

I'm here fromΒ ProjectComment , but this is really good regardless of where it was from. I really like the range of colors that you used to define the skin, the bright outline on the body figure really lends credence to the cosmic body That she's... developed I guess. The little light lines that Varassi has surrounding her are really cool, I don't know what kind of brush you used, but it looks amazing. I'm just noticing it now, but there's wings that hide arms. That's a really good detail. I'm just gushing, but I really envy the skill it took to make this, and I haven't even mentioned the hair reminiscent of a super-nova.Β
Good job.

For the light lines I used a pen then a waterbrush luminosity layer on top, an a custom noise brush for the skin to give it that pattern.
Thanks for the kind comment.
