It's summer time! Time to expand our hauan lore with this fun event :]

RULES

- Each participant can submit one entry per every prompt!
- Entries must be created/written entirely by you. No collabs, tracing, bases or stock photos allowed. Using references is fine of course!
- Entries can't feature unapproved or off-brand froads.
- If you don't own any Froads you can use ones submitted by other participants or one of our NPCs!
- Entries must include valid links to masterlists of Froads featured in your artwork.
- You don't need to own a Froad to participate!

PROMPT 1 - The meeting

Duration: July 14 - July 28 | 23:59 EST

Your Froad has decided to take a trip to the ocean nation of Haua. It’s summer, after all, and plenty of Froads are going to the sandy beaches and the beautiful ocean caves to celebrate the weather.

While visiting the coast in preparation for your trip to Haua’s underwater caves, your Froad begins to chat with the locals. Through your chatting, a local recounted an interesting encounter with a bizarre new tourist: “A stranger approached me today…” they said, shaking their head in confusion. “They were talking about wanting to explore the Hauan caves, but I barely understood them. They needed a place to stay the night, and now they’re just in my house.”

You tell the villager you’re interested in exploring the caves as well, and offer to go with the newcomer to explore them. The villager had looked at you inquisitively before shrugging. “As long as you get them out of my house, I suppose. Good luck."

You arranged with the villager to tell the newcomer to meet you at the local tavern. The villager must have invited others in their time venting about the Froad staying in their house, as other Froads also joined you in the tavern.
In addition, a strange but colorful Froad (the one who had been staying with the villager) announced themselves as Tio. They were quite intense, often talking so fast that you couldn’t keep up, but they seemed very determined to succeed! Tio spoke excitedly about treasures hidden deep in the caves of Haua and their interest in finding it. The treasure is apparently an ancient magical artifact, and according to Tio, it disappeared along with a small Hauan civilization. They think this artifact was supposed to protect the city and its people, but was stolen and soon the people vanished into thin air, leaving no trace behind.
Tio’s reason for the adventure is fulfilling their grandfather's wish, who lost his beloved friend to the disaster. They used to listen to his stories as a little Froadlet and promised that they would one day uncover the mystery of the vanished city.
Because your destination is deep down under the sea level, you decided to help Tio in finding the treasure to honor their family’s friend. Tio explains that you need protection from the water pressure, in addition to listing various other things you’d need for the journey.
Tio tried to teach you and a group of other adventurers how to create a protective shield, but their way of explaining was too convoluted and many people needed a little extra help. After you and your group, along with Tio, collected some equipment, you prepared by loading up your ship to prepare to sail tomorrow!

- Being approached by the villager

- Talking with other adventurers about the mystery and treasure
- Learning and preparing with Tio

Entries must feature:

- at least one fullbody of a froad
- a simple scenic background

Written entries must include at least 500 words and stay true to the theme

Tickets will be automatically entered into a raffle at the end of this event.
