oh there is the book at work called "100 ways to create fantasy characters." right?
it says in the proportions area this...not verbatum cause i can't remember the exact text
distorting the normal proportions create visually interesting characters...

Yeah, but considering that there's millions of female characters with uber inflated breasts and butts, it gradually becomes less and less interesting. However, Kyodai and Shiri would be the first I was exposed to, so they're not boring to me.
