Fairly interesting concept. I gotta say I like the whole weirdness of it, and yes that is the best way to say what it makes me feel 
But there are a few little critiques I could give. Honestly with a shot like this I would prefer to see more of the head in focus. I understand the point is the face and string, but for me at least I think a slightly larger DOF would have been better.
I am also highly picky about my B&W's and i just feel this one needs a touch more dynamic contrast in it. The levels just aren't where I feel they should be for this photo.
But thats all just MHO
