my wife and i spent our first anniversary at a resort in tucson and i took the chance to photograph some cars as they ascended the mountain. when i looked at the finished product, i thought of back to the future . does anyone else see that? anyway, the exposure time of this shot is 12 seconds. comments are always appreciated. enjoy.*note: i agree that the border sucked and the font blows. i made changes, though the screenshot is not updating for me. please view the image at full size to see the changes. thanks! ~homrjheath

this was taken while my wife and i were celebrating our first anniversary at the westin la paloma resort in tucson, arizona.
the road on which the cars are traveling is winds up a small hill to the resort.

At full view you can see all the little details, though my only gripe with this picture is that tree in the front of the picture. It easily takes away from the pattern, though tat times its good to have a break from a pattern.
One question remains though... How did you manage to make the lights from the cars blue? Then again that was in another country, and I'm used to cars having yellowish lights. Or maybe it just happened to be that the car had blue lights... i dont know...
Either way this was a great shot.

I actually prefer the white border, it makes the light stream stand out more. I agree the original text was ugly, even the new text is sketchy. You may find the simplest of texts look the best.

Excellent image. Whilst such extended exposure traffic shots are quite common, this image really stands out - in the main due to the composition and the detail surrounding the road.

Very Very cool! Though I didn't have a problem with the white border. I love how the streaks are white with that blue around them. I wonder if the flux capacitor has anything to do with that...

The headlights are of course, really cool... their surroundings though I don't really like... someday I'm going to try this on the road going up to our ski resort... there shouldn't be very much in the shot but the headlights... should be interesting...

Blue car lights...hmm, not something you see every day. Not here, anyway. Kinda appropriate given the neon...cactii (??) by the roadside. I like the trees and lighting at the bottom of the shot.

Wow, beautiful capture. Almost looks as if there were neon lights placed on the road, and I love that they are continuous. All of the various lights really make this stand out. Great shot!
