Very nice use of blur and tone. The contrast between the twig and background is quite engaging; the dark grey of the stem stands out very distinctly admist the blur of white.
In addition to this, the frost in certain sections of the plant conveys a much smoother transition and merges the two objects quite nicely together, distinguished by the significantly lower blur level. In addition to this, the light seems to be caught and magnified on the frost substantially, enhancing the dynamic of the image and, of course, reinforcing the light's presence.

The blur does extremely well to focus the more detailed section of the plant and provides a more diverse image overall.
Although I feel as if the composition in its square, straight perspective is rather dull, the light colours and varying levels of detail work very nicely.

I love how the centre is clear and background is a bit out of focus, it's a great use of the technique!
