The Sun in the background is actually a PhotoShop Brush I made from of the cover of Tarot's new "Gravity of Light" album, and repainted. So...it's 90-95% mine in this case. Also, the weird floaty ghost things seen here are part of a PhotoShop pattern I'm working on..both are to be posted on my stock account.
After finishing my Chapter 7-8 Psychology Test, I drew this on my test without any references aside from a couple of pictures of the Good Doctor I had in my binder. His expression could have been better as long with the pose, but at the time, I wasn't really paying attention to that. I was just letting my inspiration do what it wanted!
When I scanned this and took it into PhotoShop, I decided that for the background I wanted to convey something that one might see if they were (unlucky enough) to take a peek into Dr. Ryan's psyche.
As a Metafluke, Ryan is insane. But unlike most Metaflukes, The Good Doctor's madness also serves a as sort of defense mechanism. If a psychic/telepath/scanner were to glance into his mind, they would go insane (usually temporary, but sometimes not) by the sights and sounds which they saw there. The imagery seen here is not so bad; just a "happy sunshine", some dancing skeletons (TOTENTANZ, PEOPLE! TOTENTANZ!), and a seemingly never-ending graveyard. But the longer a psychic "stays" his mind, the more horrific the visions will become until madness becomes irreversible for the individual...as at least one of Ryan's past victims has had the displeasure of finding out...

This description was interesting to read because I JUST finished watching The Cell, so the timing was perfect. I agree the pose is a bit predictable for Ryan, but I love the colouring, and the sun/moon really draws the eye.

Man, I got The Cell for Easter and I haven't watch it yet, but it might storm later on tonight so I might watch it then if I don't get suck into a videogame.
Is it just me or soes Ryan look kind of like a Gameshow host here? "And for the lighting Round, we're going to use...REAL LIGHTNING!" *brings out an electric chair and watches the contestants get really scared* "What?!"

Hah! I agree about the gamehost thing.
And yes, watch The Cell. Watch it for the pretty/horrific. Not the acting.

Well, visually the Cell was inspired by the art of Gerald Brom, and from what little bit I've seen, it shows.

And there's one scene inspired by Damien Hirst. Oh Hirst, how I love thee and your skinning and bisecting of animals.
