Another nice street scene.
I havent seen or touched real snow before and this looks really nice.
I love the repetition of the hustle and bustle with the street lights receding into the vanishing point.

It was the fact that there was light in the sky and also the street lamps were lit, which caused my wondering about your use of HDR. You might care to look at some of my images. Take care!

Thanks for your reply. HDR is something you use after you have taken the photo.

oh lol, just googled what it is, i actually hit a point in my photography hobbyness(idk a good word for the act of photography as a hobby xD) where i just took so many pics and i am just to busy to ever edit them, so no i didnt touch the HDR at all, tho on some of my older photos i "tried" and kinda failed xD

well, I'm sure you wanted to do this effect that it's far (you know what I mean, don't you? I'm from Austria, help!) but in this picture, I can't really see this effect.
But I like the way the trees are there^^

Excellent pic of the block before the Art Institute. I like your focal point. The use of the repetitiveness of the street lights and the wall. But what impresses me is that you didn't make it about the people or the Art Institute at all. I've seen so many shots of the lions than it's hard to find something new in them.
Your buildings and sky make this shot more about the negative space. ( Artistic term though I live near Chi town and Baby, it's cold outside in more than one way. ) The canyon like effect of a really excellent use of vanishing point.
Nice capture of the bare trees' reflections and the dirty snow.
You notice that everyone's giving them a wide berth?

your welcome. i love that picture! i live near Pittsburgh pa, and the streets in winter are something else. I love the water in the cracks of the street and sulfur lights that glare down in the glassy puddles. cities have a majestic tone in winter almost if it says "i bear things with you"
