I always thought it would be balanced. Frollo is one tough dude, but Esmeralda (Disney) can handle herself well. In my eyes it would be chaotic they would be a bit like a "push-me-pull-you" Compromise, go the other's way, or do nothing at all. Though whatever's happening now, in the piece, I have a feeling she'll win.

I think you're very spot on with that assessment. I see them as yin/yang. Oh, they'll have plenty of issues, but if and when they work through them, magic happens!
In this case, it's clearly a case of her having the upper hand. Or is it? Because I have a feeling Frollo is letting her gain the upper hand because he gains something by it too. How Machiavellian! They'll never be a boring couple, that's for sure!

when have you ever seen a different expression on that face? I feel Frollo always has a hidden motive ( or three). That's why I love writing him, he is such a multilayered character.

Partly why I should never plot with Frollo. I tend to have a motive or two for myself. (wither the act is selfish or not.) and I tend to have a few backup plans in my head, before we begin. We could rule the world!
