Parody of: i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/o…I recently watched a lot of video clips about Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson and the entire season of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. I got to say Dr. Tyson is such a witty science communicator. Really love his talks. ^^ But to be honest, physics has always been the hardest subject that I never good at. Even wit his introduction, there're still many things that I can't really wrap my head around.

Lol, tyson's cosmos is a treat for the eyes for sure. I'm still especially fond of Carl Sagan's Cosmos: A Personal Voyage. I could listen to them talk as nauseum for hours.

That's very nice. Glad to see people use critical thinking and question what popular figure had said.
Just that I think that suspecting him on chemicals consumption and use harsh words as personal insults won't exactly help the reader learn more about the facts. All human make mistakes. Dr. Tyson is no exception. Maybe focusing on the issue of Dr. Tyson's mistakes instead of labeling him as a cult would better demonstrate your point.

Check www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_jG5k… you will see Tyson and his audience having a good laugh at George Bush's expense. Bush's prestigious appointments was a big boost to Tyson's career. How does Tyson repay this favor? He has a wonderful time portraying Bush as a xenophobe and idiot. But the entire story is fiction as Adler and others have documented: www.washingtonpost.com/news/vo…
Another example of Tyson's obnoxious behavior, calling doctors idiots: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5X64Q… In this case Tyson reveals his ignorance of what a prognosis is. Given cancer at a certain stage, a doctor can look at survival stats of other patients in a similar condition. If 95% of patients die within 5 months, the doctor will tell him he is likely to die within 5 months. If the patient dies sooner or later than predicted, that doesn't demonstrate the doctor's an idiot. It shows that outliers on a bell curve exist. I'm hoping Tyson has heard of statistics and bell curves. In his attempt to slam medical doctors Tyson demonstrates his own idiocy.
The over the top comments from Tyson's defenders could fill many pages.

Neil is a pretty cool guy, even if I never watched anything that he had a major part in.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a great guy. Always impressed by his story about meeting Carl Sagan, and how he comes on so many shows to talk about science and technology. I'm sure Sunny and Twi would make great science communicators as well.
