Ok, I love you guys to death but..... really? Featuring stolen stock? I'm the founder of and I see a lot of stock. I realize it's sometimes easy to overlook, but when it's taken straight from someone as well known as *phatpuppy that's just awful. Stock theft is one of my biggest peeves on here. The stock artists get frustrated and remove their stock which is a major blow to the artists that follow the rules. Without stock there would be no photomanipulations! The theft has been reported. The others are wonderful and I recognize some of my members in the feature and congrats to them!

I don't understand how *phatpuppy 's stock is stolen. ~kakiii submitted an Adobe Lightroom Preset namedLR preset Purple Nature , which utilizes *phatpuppy 's Stairway to Heaven Stock image. In the deviation description, *phatpuppy clearly said that it can be used on deviantART. If this is not the case, please encourage the original deviation's author to contact the Help Desk so we can remedy the situation ASAP.
Even though we get 150,000+ deviations submitted daily, we strive to keep deviantART clear of rips and illegal content. Whenever you see stolen artwork, please just click the report button, as the moderation team reviews every inquiry. That said, the deviantART community is our greatest ally in keeping our galleries clean.

Yeah, sorry for that mistake. I saw =celticstrm-stock 's comment and just assumed she was correct. However, I then did a bit on investigating and then saw that what =celticstrm-stock was talking about was a Lightroom preset. After that, I noticed that the uploader of the preset credited the wrong artist in the description. This is something I am assuming is not the artists fault, but instead the person credited stole *phatpuppy 's stock

My apologies, I was mistaken. I guess that's what happens when you're pregnant, hormonal, and sleep deprived. I didn't realize that it was a light room preset. Claudia has had that image stolen before and distributed in a similar fashion with one image having a slight color change. Stock theft has run rampant lately and it's been a touchy subject. The image doesn't list *phatpuppy as the original artist of the stairway, and instead credits another deviant. Her terms do state that it should be linked to her and she should be notified of its use.

No offence, but you should be a little more carefull when talking about stolen artworks when you have not looked into it properly. You can do a lot of harm to peoples repuation in a needless way. Just think how you would feel if you were being accused of stealing work!
I've had someone turn up on my account and accuse me of stealing every 3D image in my gallery. This person then went onto post in the dA forums that I was an art thief and I then had to explain to every person that I was not when they arrived on my profile to accuse me of being an art thief without even looking into the situation, or my work! Not only that, but I had to explain oiver and over again and why this person was doing this too me. They were doing it because they were in fact an art thief! We caugh him out posting stolen works from Renderosity into my 3D group and exposed him for what he was! He was using stolen art work to complete commissions that he was charging $25 for!
Please be more considered and informed when making the kind of statement that you did above. You should 100% sure when making such a claim and be able to back it up with evidence. Pregnancy is not an excuse for ignorance!
