“Hiccup, I’m boooored.” Jack nagged.

He didn’t feel like doing those stupid math problems at all.

“Jack, I’m busy. Now shut up and do your homework.” said Hiccup, who was trying to focus on a problem.

“Yes mommy.” Jack smirked.
“Good boy.”

Hiccup scolded himself mentally for saying that and of course, he turned a bright red. He assumed Jack didn’t notice. A few minutes passed and Hiccup didn’t know Jack was staring at him the whole time. He turned sideways to face his friend and had an irritated look on his face.

“What?” he asked annoyed.
“Nothing.” Jack mumbled, cracking a little smile.

Hiccup looked down at his homework again but felt uncomfortable, feeling Jack still looking at him. Jack couldn’t help it. He just adored Hiccup’s cute round face: Beautiful green eyes, a cute button nose, freckles all over his puffy cheeks... During class, he liked to peek at him while his thoughts drifted away. But this was different. He was closer now. If he leaned in he could-

“Jack, what is it? You’re being a creep.”
“Is that so...?” he whispered, and he leaned towards Hiccup. “Then what exactly is so creepy?” he said with a mischievous smile.
“U-u-uh, J-Jack, w-what are you doing?” said a crimson red faced Hiccup.

Jack moved closer until his nose touched his friend’s. Hiccup froze and blushed heavily.

“Please don’t hate me for doing this.” Jack whispered, and cupped Hiccup’s cheeks, who squeaked silently. Jack sighed nervously, and he then planted a gentle kiss on Hiccup’s lips. He expected Hiccup would pull away and ask him what was wrong with him, but he didn’t. It was a perfect first kiss: Soft, sweet and slow. Jack let go first and looked down, a slight rosy blush creeping across his face.

“Uhm, so, I guess now is a good time to tell you that I like you, huh?”
“Yeah, it is.”

“Hiccup, I’ve been thinking about you, and not one dream goes by without your appearance. What I’m trying to say is, I’ve liked you for a long time, and I didn’t know how to tell you. I figured this was the best way for me to show my feelings for you. I can't believe you didn’t yell at me when I did it.” said Jack, with his hand behind his neck, and a nervous smile on his face.

“You talk way too much, Jack.” Hiccup said, and stood up from his chair to sit on Jack’s lap. Jack embraced him carefully, like Hiccup was a delicate little snowflake.

Hiccup laid his head on Jack’s shoulder and closed his eyes. It was getting dark outside, and Hiccup’s room had an orange glow from the faint lamps. It was romantic, like there was a lit fireplace inside. Jack watched Hiccup fall asleep in his arms and sighed contently. He carefully kissed Hiccup’s forehead, who smiled at the loving touch. Jack smiled too.

“I’ll never let you go now, babe.”
