Description
This painting was inspired after wandering around the Islamic art section of the Louvre. The subject is a friend of mine who really likes white tigers.Related content

you have a wonderful application of color on this painting. im not so sure about the outlines in black, i feel like they flaten the subjects in the painting, but the rendering is great.

Thanks. I just realy like lines. I like to draw and I like to leave my drawing in, but I understand what you mean. I like the way it cartoons the subject almost. Making it more fantasy than reality, plus I just like art nouveau.

i can see the art nouveau quality to your work. i think it would be interesting if you did something pre-raphalite-ish or something along the lines of Edward Hopper painting, i think you would pull it of very well.

Is the right half the actual cover? The tiger and then the cropped off arm on the front of the CD?

No. Its a centerfold. the Actual cover is another illustration. Imagine two pages. But I could crop in for a one page around just him and the cub... its an idea.

Oh okay. (upon closer reading of your comment on it, it became rather clear).
I think it works really well as it is! I was kind of wondering why you'd want to crop it so strangely. Makes sense now!
I really dig how it's all about the tanny golds and the teals across all of the objects. It's a really stunning choice of colors!
