Description
This is Raiann, my dragoborn swordmage, and my first 4th edition Dungeons and Dragons character.Raiann is an assault swordmage, meaning that she primarily uses the spells that deal the most damage. I made her primarily fire-based, so her breath weapon is fire, and most of her attacks are fire.
She uses a scimitar, so when she gets a critical hit, she really lays down the damage, and for wearing leather armor, she has some great defenses.
Unfortunately her career didn't last very long since the DM for that session didn't want to DM anymore, so she only made it to Level 8.
After trying to draw them for so long, I think I finally drew a picture of Raiann that I'm really happy with.
The colors really turned out well, though I think I might have gotten to 'artistic' with it, trying to mimic the background you see in the Player's Handbook.
Photohop 7.
Dragonborn and all things Dungeons and Dragons are (c) Wizards of the Coast.
Raiann and art are mine.

I love this pose; it conveys quiet power and strength, especially the fire spell swirling around her talons. Great textures, too! I find the overlay mode in PS to be useful for a lot of different things.

Thank you very much!
Yes, overlay is a nice mode to help work with textures and such. Simple, but effective.

Sounds like a fun character, too bad about the DM quitting. By the way, what technique did you use for her scales?

I just used a scatter brush in Photoshop, a dark gray on a different layer and set the layer to overlay. It's nothing grand, but it adds some texture to the look.

Pretty cool-looking! The lighting looks very good and I really like the texturing on the skin.
