Death in June formed back in the early 80s in the original UK post industrial scene with bands like Current 93 and Psychic TV if you are familiar with either of them.

I remember Genesis P Orridge.
They played in a youth club just down the road from me in 1978.

Not familiar with neofolk, I listen to stuff like Lethe (Kiyoharu Kuwayama) - dark ambient industrial.

Dark ambient is another important part of the post industrial scene, but I don't listen much.
I will check out Lethe, and if you let me know any other good acts, I will check them out too.
My favorite neofolk bands (other than Death in June) are Forseti, Werkraum, and Sonne Hagal.
They all are influenced by dark ambient, so you might be interested.
