The first of 7 images I'm creating for the Miyamoto Cup: [link]Here is Link in his blue alternate from Smash Bros Brawl. I don't think you got a blue tunic in Twilight Princess, but I always liked the blue look.
I'm still trying to find a balance between crisp/clean and "painterly." I think this image turned out decent, but something about it just isn't quite there yet. If you can tell me what it is, I would really appreciate it!

In Blue form in Twilight? Ya its in there, two ways to get it, but most get it by the story way, faster that way too...

I start with a sketch and then keep building on top of it. Lately I've been doing most of my work on one layer, then adding a layer on top of it for color. I haven't drawn on paper in quite some time

It took me years to stop scanning in initial sketches. The trick is to be extremely impatient and get bored with your own style all the time.

Just think about the process you have of starting a drawing now and approach it differently the next time you draw something. It doesn't matter if it's good at first; just see what you come up with.
