Oh boy. Now this was a doosie.
This is a trace of a taxidermy’ed seagull for collage. I’m going to be mixing anthropomorphism and isolation for my final piece, so knowing animals is pretty important. I’m really liking the idea of doing my final piece digitally, though if I do, I’m going to simplify it. This took two strait days of work and I only have 15 hours for my exam.
Academics aside, this was a really useful exercise. It was cool to see how feathers work and interact, and my might do another one just for fun.
This was posted a while ago on my tumblr, but didn't think it was worth deviantart. After doing some more art though, I realised how influential it was. So hear you go :3
