It explains more about how I feel about books and solitude than I can ever say. I hope you don't mind if I put this photo on a blog entry (I'll link to this page)

I like the toning of this b&w photo, and also the free space above the people. And it is also great how you captured the people, the title fits perfectly.

That's amazing how you were able to somewhat mix the current culture with a slightly more ancient one... Makes me want to go read Jules Verne or Edgar Allen Poe or something. lol

This IS Seattle. I love it there and this is part of the reason. I love 'real' coffee shops, not the Starbucks that you find everywhere.
Love the shot, the coffee shop, the library, all of it. Great job.

Whereabouts is this coffee house? I'll have to drop by next time I'm up there.
I in no way intend to be creepy; I live in Graham.
Excellent shot by the way. I like the play on words. Heh.

The book shelf in the background makes me feel like I could spend months in that coffee house. Like one of the statue-people in your picture: I would just sit around all day with a book in hand and would only get up for another book (or food... maybe.)

Because each person is having a conversation with himself, exploring his own self as if it is sitting besides him on the chairs with bags. Because it shows the individualistic side of each individual yet shows something common and collective running through all the people. Because with books in the background, it shows possibilities for human mind and soul.
That is just how I perceive it, and I hadn't thought about it before you asked me. Something just attracted me to this photo, as if I had some reflection amongst the people sitting and a belonging. I hope this is an adequate answer cause the picture is set as wallpaper on my desktop.

In what way are you curious about the color tones?
There were lots of blues, reds, browns and greens.

Fascinating capture. There's a great sense of everyone being inside their own world here; real self-absorbtion. It is something happens regularly in life but it's not often clearly shown in print -- this definitely does mark it.
Great work.

I very much appreciate hearing that!
I've got a ton of prints on my walls as well. Very inspiring.
Hey, Mustafa, I've just been over on ebay looking at the D80 packages.
The problem is I know so little about lenses since the three camera I've
used up until now have had in-body lenses.
I'd love to ask you about them and which is the best deal for my money, if you've the time.
The money has cleared in my bank account and I'd love to make a purchase TODAY!
Will add you to my msn in case you're game for helping me out.
I'm looking at this in particular: [link]
