Wow! That's some detail. Was it hand held? At 1/30th, if it was, you've got a rock steady grip. The main thing I miss about the big city is the bookstore-cafe like the one pictured here. Thanks to the retro look of the young man in the center and the furnishings, the picture almost looks like it came from the 50's.

i know i put A LOT of work into getting it to look just right.

I like that older looking gentlemans shoes, they don't really match what you think his personality would be.

I can't say I liked the framing that much (going a little tooooo much upwards, could have show a bit more to the left and to the right), but 1. that's personal taste (and I'm no expert) and 2. I don't know if there was any room for you to pull back before taking the picture, so maybe you really had no option but to cut the woman to the left and the man to the right. anyway, great picture, and the concept brings both peace and melancholy to mind - bookstores *are* gatherings of solitudes, after all, which can be both good or bad, depending on the way one looks at it.
to sum it up: I loved it, despite some minor grips.
(also, the all star sneakers are priceless.)

It seems very '70's to me, for some reason. I love that it's in black and white, and I love that the guy is wearing Converse shoes with slacks.
