Description My friend explains it perfectly in his journal entry. This is an except taken from the same...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The good news is that there was no deal.

The bad news is that many countries have caved to relentless U.S. demands that they alter their domestic patent and medicine pricing laws to meet the desires of large pharmaceutical firms. And countries that had previously refused to sacrifice other important public interest policies have conceded to U.S. demands.

The negotiators’ political imperative to make a deal — any deal — resulted in a raft of dangerous decisions that would severely threaten consumers’ access to medicines, undermine Internet freedom and empower corporations to attack our domestic laws.

And the top trade officials issued a statement saying they would get together again in January and try to finalize a deal.

Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., TPP corporate backers are working tirelessly to make sure the TPP can be Fast Tracked when it’s finished. Introduction of a bill to establish Fast Track is expected in the first week of January.

The way we can stop the TPP is to make sure Congress does not delegate away its constitutional authority via Fast Track.

Email your representative today and demand that he or she commits in writing to you to oppose Fast Track. qz.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp…

Fast Track is the secret weapon of the corporate lobbyists who want to profit from the TPP at the expense of the rest of us.

If our representatives pass Fast Track, the TPP could be signed before Congress even has a chance to vote on it. Then, it would be railroaded through Congress with no amendments and limited debate.

A Fast-Tracked TPP would mean more job-offshoring, more overpriced medications, more unsafe food and products in our stores, and more power to multinational corporations to sue countries over public interest policies that executives claim affect corporate profits.

That’s why it’s so important that you write now and get your representative’s commitment to oppose Fast Track.

With no TPP in 2013, the momentum is on our side, but we can’t let up now.

These days I'm happy I went ex-pat.  The country of freedom is turning into the country of rich hogs.  Hoggish Greedly would love the USA today, haha.  At least in East Asia they still have piracy.

The secrecy reveals just how untrustworthy these TPP pushing crooks are. Instead of hiding their dodgy plotting, it tells everyone that the TPP is a rotten nasty piece that they know damn well is rotten for everyone else except the TPP pushers themselves. If the TPP passes, I am just going to ignore whatever laws they want to push with it and fight the BS that comes with the TPP tooth and claw.

Same here. It is the moral obligation of every decent, honest person to deny any law which is unjust and immoral.

The worst part about the TPP is not that it's SOPA on steroids. The worst part about the TPP is the loss of jobs and job opportunities. I am a graduate student who's about to get his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I'm having trouble finding jobs as it is! The TPP will destroy job opportunities for Americans!

The US-government, senat and congress should try to not interfere with other countries for their personal and selfish interests. The phase were we tolerated this in fear for Russia is over... in fact, the USA develope a behavior very similar to that of the Soviets, with spying on people, undermining interests of their allies et cetera. At some point only the British Commonwealth will remain loyal to them, if they continue. It might take a while, but it will happen, if situations continue.
As for the internal issue, I personally think that a Republic shouldn't favor a small group with money. A Republic has democratic principles, yet in this particular case lobbyism turns it into aristocracy (Reign of the Elite). Not that this wasn't already the case witht he politicians themselves, but it get's kinda worse.
