Hence the old saying about strong fences making good neighbors. Sometimes the best way for peace and liberty to endure is for people to make the conscious decision to leave others the fuck alone! If it's clear that someone else does not share your beliefs do the right thing and put distance between you and them. Forcing everyone to exist under one nice clean label does not ensure peace, it only ensures more conflict, because just like oil and water don't mix there are certain types of people who will just never get along. This is why empires always fall and political correctness is always met with fierce opposition. In both cases, they try to unify people under one rule, religion, creed, and/or ideology, but in order to accomplish such a task you must force people to abandon their personal beliefs and sense of individuality, and since this is against human nature it sparks controversy which soon gives rise to hatred and then war.Unity is not the key to harmony, as some are misled to believe, it is a catalyst for war and the nice word for conquest and assimilation. The true key to harmony is understanding, because through understanding you may come to learn which people can be unified and which people must remain separate. So many of this world's problems would be resolved if people would just mind their own business and leave each other the fuck alone!
These days the real threat to liberty are false ideals like this.

Add education and intelligence and problem solved, also bringing all under 1 government who is as corrupt as the existing ones will change nothing, it is the governing systems we use that cause the problems. with a better system in place unity will happen itself.
It is known in game industry, that Leagues, Tribes, Guilds. Are used to create groups that, conflict with each other. Same for languages, countries, nationalities, social class, skin color. You name it. All these are different guilds that will generate conflict. And only an intelligent mind can go past these trivial, meaningless differences. Also reducing the amount of them helps. not all can be changed, but most can.

There is something to this. Harmonious unity in the Republic should not be interpreted of requiring 100% agreement. Instead, the harmony comes from the majority view and vote carrying the rule, but the minority view and vote is acknowledged and protected. A wheeler-dealer type unconcerned or skeptical concerning principle might still offer the protection or maybe compensation in order to safeguard self-interest in perpetuating a system perceived as fair in deed if not in word. Trying to get 100% or otherwise unanimous consent is bound to founder...unless the Republic guarantees it with the force of authority. But that wouldn't be true equality but instead be discrimination and tyranny.
