Description
Cleopatra's alleged death.I'm not sure why I drew her entirely naked as I have literally no concept of anatomy or art in general. Only a sketch though, to show I'm still alive.
Took me like 5 minutes with no references, so cut me some slack. ;_;
The scarab beetle is a necklace of mine.

Well, based on the surviving images of Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator, this isn't a bad imagining. The black hair would have been a wig, though, as shaved heads were the custom in ancient Egypt. In reality, since she was Macedonian-Greek, she was likely a blond...

Aww, thank you so so much for the comment!
Yeah, shaved heads were common, and wigs.
A natural blonde, eh? Didn't know that, that's quite neat to find out.
I just love something about her, haha. c:

You're most welcome...
Yes, especially for the priests & royalty, removing all body hair was practiced for both hygiene & religious reasons...
Given her ancestry, it's probable she was blond... Over it's thousands of years of existence, ancient Egypt had every race & ethnic group living there (everyone wanted to be there, it's where the money & culture was) & many of these became part of the royal class...

Wow, you sure know a lot about Ancient Egypt! My knowledge isn't nearly as great as I'd like, haha, I'd better read up on it. 83
I cannot picture a blonde Cleopatra!

Well, I used to be a history teacher...
Perhaps the least curious thing about ancient Egypt is that Cleopatra may have had blond hair. I can suggest a few interesting books, if you want...

Former teacher, yes; brilliant, hardly...
These works you should find enlightening re ancient Egypt. They do not deal with the usual "popular" mundane history & quaint customs, rather, with the mind-set of the ancient Egyptians, their psyche and "esoteric" knowledge:
ยท "The Spiritual Technology of Ancient Egypt" by E.F. Malkowski
ยท "Symbol & the Symbolic" โ and โ "Esoterism & Symbol" by Rene A. Schwaller de Lubicz
ยท "Serpent in the Sky : The High Wisdom of Ancient Egypt" by John Anthony West
ยท "Science in Ancient Egypt" by Geraldine Woods
Enjoy!

My pleasure...
Those books should be available at any good public library, though you may have to track them down...
More as it happens...
