Description I still remember the pre-release videos, with the guys shouting in the background, "STRIDER!!!". Man, I love chaos.

And the technical stuff:
Yeah, there's some HDRI in there, but I don't know. I rendered this bad-boy at 4096x3072... Took roughly an hour to do. Bump mapping is only at 50%, looked too deep. Did some contrast enhancments to the thing, maked it look a lot better. The background image I got from Half-Life Fallout. Originally, it ended where the citadel ends at the top, but I cropped in some clouds. Also, at near the bottom right of the black line, that was where the sun came out... Too distracting, so I dark clouded over it.

LOL I just remembered how funny the cries of a Strider are! I LOLed every time my bro killed a Strider while I was watching! They just sound so epic when they die!

I love Striders! I only wish I could engage them in combat. T_T I don't have HL2 or it's episodes. Well, I'm currently downloading HL2, but do you even fight them in that game? Anyway, nice wallpaper.

Yes, you do fight a Strider at one point. And no, it's not easy.

Saw this over at HLF, sweet pic man. I'm glad to see that you got the models imported into Cinema 4D. Now you just need to import the Citadel and make everything in that picture rendered in Cinema 4D
