'Why Cut When You Can... Paint!'-Scout-
Well then ^.^ I think this turned out quite well, plus it was rather fun to do ^.^
I've had this idea in my head for a long.. LOOONG time, and finally got to it.
I've never been much of a painter, but this was a success!
I have alot of freinds who cut at school, I've gotten two of them to stop ^^
Anywho, I really like how this came out and I'm hopeing that it will become popular among deviant art.
Just this one picture, the rest is crap XD
To all of you who slice and dice.. USE PAINT! IT REALLY HELPS! BELEIVE ME I KNOW XD
When I get upset or mad, I'll get out my paint set and a brush and just grab random colors and splash and slash at my wrists with paint XD The ending result is always beautiful and makes you feel much better ^^ At least for me it does.

Actually, this seems better than hurting yourself. My friend cuts her fingers, and I occasionally use my nails to cut myself (it doesn't work).

I know it sounds a bit childish, but I've gotten four of my friends to stop cutting with this picture since I had gotten it posted ^^
Besides, art and paint is relaxing and can relieve stress FAR more then cutting ^^

This is a really good picture. I love the contrast between the black and white and the color of the paint/cuts. As well as the balance of the shine on the wall with the reflection of the table/surface that the arm is resting on.

Not only is the balance of the picture itself really good, it's also a really deep message that this is giving. I deal with depression myself and I know that there's no better therapy than drawing a cartoon version of myself with a gun to her head.Β Because I'm able to release those feelings onΒ paper there's noΒ need toΒ do anything else.Β I guess that's why this picture is especially impactful to me.
There are so many people out there that should see this picture.
