Description Just time for one more submission, then I'm away for a few days.

I fancied this had a look of a rather messy sketch of a penny-farthing, as Leonardo might have produced in a more whimsical moment...

Wonderful, makes me think of an old decayed leaf blowing in the breeze.

Thanks! Someone else spotted the leaf look, and I'd missed it - I'm now seeing it in a new light

The texture of this reminds me of fallen leaves that are so old almost everything has disintegrated, leaving only the network of veins...it has the same sort of delicate feeling and autumny colours. I love the little shots of fire through it too. Maybe it's just the result of a crazy weekend, but I keep thinking of cycles of life and death when I look at it. I'll come back tomorrow and will probably be able to see the bike a little clearer.

Well, I really like that interpretation of it - I think it was there waiting to be discovered It's a long time since I've seen leaves like that, but I know just what you mean. And there's nothing quite like a crazy weekend to get some interesting tangential thoughts...

My oh my! This is stunning! One of the best I've seen from you I do believe! The title is perfect as well! This should be the national poster for recycling or something

Thanks Tim! I must say that I'm particularly pleased with this one as well I do like the idea of using it as a poster campaign too...

Incredible! on small view I saw a perfectly formed antique bike/cycle with the big wheel... Still see it in full view but see much more than that as well. Lovely!!

Thank you, my dear I agree that this is one of the rare ones that actually does show a sufficiency of itself in the thumbnail

Yes looks like an ancient scetchy graphic. I love this effect. Great color scheme !

Thanks! The colour scheme was one of those 'happy accidents', in which a switch of background from dark to light suddenly brought the whole thing to life

Thanks for that, and the and I developed a different method of anti-aliasing for this one, and it sounds like it's paid off! Normally, I just reduce by a factor of 2, but there was still some stepping, so I divided the reduction into 3 steps: it helps to get that slightly softer look...
