Rooted in Pythagoras Tree ? .....maybe the base for Duel et al ?

Most definitely the base, but no relation to that esteemed mathematician's branching structures. To create, start with a low-weight (~10%) linear or spherical xform (almost any variation is acceptable) then add another with glynnia @ 0.25. Rotate this 180, scale up by 300% and shift 0.3 units to the left

Much appreciated
You're the best The thing I created yesterday turned out too bizarre & I'm calling it "Plug Ugly" - tempted to post it just for vomit value. But now you've given me the right steer I'll go play & it can fade into the Land of Forgotten Embarrassments otherwise known as The Bin.

The inhabitants of my own "Land of Forgotten Embarrassments" live on in a 'care-in-the-community' situation in a recently disinterred (I had to move to new hard drives) region known as 'The Archives', a kind of Digital Heaven where monsters rub shoulders with gods

Yup, got two of those. You might be bemused to ponder how this Rara avis came from those enlightening tips - just goes to show how hard it is to shuck personal style

Yep, you've got me on that one! But: glynnia, not glynnia2 - I can't get anything like the intricacy with 2.

I think I'm getting it - finally! Are these closer to the mark: Subtext in the Spin & Fossil Flounder
Who made glynnia?

Well, if by "mark" you mean the style I dub as 'gnarled glynnia', then clearly no. I can't actually see glynnia's influence, plus you've used a few extra variations - the gnarled glynnia base consists of the glynnia base I described, with the glynnia transform linked to a bwraps7 (or now, of course, you can just add post_bwraps2 to the glynnia) and engaging the inner_twist parameter (outer gives discontinuities). But if you aim to use the base as a springboard rather than an end in itself, then the answer may be yes!
I believe Michael Faber made glynnia but never officially released it. I'm intrigued as to why it doesn't possess any variables

Right! Again caught out on my assumptions - I assumed Glynnia2 would be a superior upgrade, but of course Apo plugins are entities unto themselves & the seeming logic doesn't apply in many cases. Thanks.
Back to the Edit screen.....now how can I amuse them today, tiddly pom.........cold toes...tiddly pom....

I tend to use this one as my definitive glynnia starting params now!

Will have to look for that one. Such a lot of detail. It's great.

Just glynnia + spherical - amazing what awaits discovery!
