You are probably right that getting fatter would make Swift better than Adele...but I have this niggling doubt that may it could, so Taylor needs to try it just to be safe. Besides, I heard her grandmother wanted her to go into opera instead of pop songs, so maybe she needs a career change anyways and who's heard of a thin opera singer?

Thin opera singers? Try Lily Pons from the mid-20th Century. She was a very pretty woman as well. There have been others, but they are, admittedly, exceptional.Β A good number are very pretty - see Renee Fleming -, but they are seldom really slender. Something about the necessary development of the muscles that help provide breath support. (As a long-time singer myself, I'm aware of the situation.)
