This obviously isn't the picture that's been previewed in my webcam. But I wanted to finish this first so badly!
Adventure-style Sonic. I used to love the way Yuji Uekawa made the official artwork. An artist's style can change over time, but his changed for the worse. All the newer Sonic artwork (Sonic Advance 3, Rush, and Sonic Channel artwork, for example) don't look nearly as cool as the Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 ones, I don't know why. But here's me trying to emulate SA1 style!I never really have time to draw anymore because of school, to explain the boringness of my recent deviations.

They more went chibi with the quills, encluding the body shape nowadays. SA1/SA2 made Sonic more older, yet fitting in the environment. But since we're having a collison of fans wanting either classic. Not to mention the SA style. Sonicteam is trying so hard to please both sides that it's awful. Not offending them. It's the fans that don't know what they want from Sonic.
I do appreciate that you edcuated this, along with your lovely drawing to the public.

This one looks quite alike with the oficial Sonic Team style. But. Next time it'd probably be better to make the shades more grayish or black... Darker so to say.

Wow, someone else has actually noticed! >_> The whole art style change over time has been really bugging me lately too. I think it mostly has to do with the poses and and face- well, the eyes to be specific. They're generally just too perfectly rounded rather than more oval shaped Like most early SA styled art did...
