Thanks! Yeah, the pants are my least favorite part... I feel so exposed in those tight... tights. >.> On top of that it is the only part of the costume that I was unable to find a good material for at the time I needed to be done. The only cloth I could find was... stretchy felt...? Or something ridiculous like that. Looking at screenshots I got the impression that Wander's shorts are pretty skin tight, so I was looking for something form fitting and appropriate for the time period/setting. Didn't find it. Any suggestions?

Well, I've been thinking about it and looked though my SotC:2 game for a better idea.
I think you where on the right track but here ([link] ) the pants look almost like Native American leggings cut short or leiderhosen and they really don't look as dark as what you wore for the outfit.
Perhaps if you constructed a pair of faux-suede shorts in a slightly darker color and style to what you have it would work better.
Then again, pants....and sewing them are not my favorite part of costuming. XD Pants are the bane of cosplay! Right up there with bias-tape. XD

Faux-suede may work, but it might not be stretchy enough. A big problem I had to think about was the range of motion my pants would give me, since I'm climbing around and doing crazy Wander things while in-costume. I wanted it to be durable and easy to move in so I could get the best pictures. :/ Otherwise it'd be great! Is it stretchy...?

Lederhosen are german alpine shorts. XD They are skin-tight but made of heavy leather. Perhaps you could get away with a slightly loose and lighter suede with a pair of sport-shorts underneath?
