That's not too much time, hehehe... some of my models have taken weeks to complete. There's renders on dA that almost certainly took the artist months to model. Apparently the scene in The Incredibles where Mr Incredible pulls a sleeve on took three months or so to animate!
3D's not quick work... just like most other artforms 
btw, for your third render, this is fantastic! Keep up the good work!
