*ProjectInspire is a new organization founded here on dA specializing in inspiring deviants to help and care for one another. To nurture their artistic prowess and help each other grow via a series of motivational projects, journals, tasks and events that will give the members of deviantART more reason to contribute as a community.You guys may also remember this skin from a recent slip up I had while coding it here . I apologize for that, it was meant to be a surprise. I believe I may have given the impression this skin would be free for use. It is however, not. This skin was originally designed for =kaotickell to use for the projects account and as such is only available to her and the team that runs it.
The preview shows what the main journal is capable of. There are other areas for static journal linking that feature their own specific design additions. Feel free to browse through *ProjectInspire 's journals to find out what I mean.

Just read my critique again and i realized that i wrote "makes" instead of "mark" - awesome!
So it's not the text, but just the little icon.

While Web Development is my profession, I must admit that I am more of a business logic person, less a designer. I do, however, know when I see something I like, and I do have a background in document/workbook design (had to do something before I became a programmer).
What I like about this design is the relative simplicity. Simple shapes neatly organized in a top-to-bottom fashion with some key horizontal sections that lead the eyes in fairly natural movements. The banner ties in nicely with the secondary banner (for today's inspirations) creating points of interest and the color scheme is generally soft, blending nicely with the dA color scheme, with that splash of color to brighten it up and (again) add interest to the eye.
The only thing I might be critical of is the primary text. Text that is organized in narrow columns is easier to read, limiting eye movements. I would consider breaking the text up into 2 columns.
I think this is a nice clean design, I like it.

You know what I think of this Chris. It fits every single purpose we have for the project, and it does so in the best possible way - nice, clean, and simple.

And then there is the lightbulb that will immediately make visitors hover over it for several times, just to see it light up - and that's a great way of keeping random people coming by interested. --Anne

Sleek, clean, colors that have just enough pop (but are not loud), and a logical, cohesive home page design. I don't know much about how web/journal pages are developed ordesigned, but I know when I like one, and I like this one!

I will have to let here a fav to my friend! It's the best CSS that I saw on the community. Love the smooth lines, the boldness style, the colors and, special, the little lamp animation. Awesome touch!
