Whew... so it's finally done! I was a bit uncertain what to do with the background and while it's not as grand as I was hoping for, it looks pretty good I think. Makes good practice too Let's here it for Photoshop patterns too!! Helped make the grass, tree, and smoke look alot better I think. Hope you guys approve! This drawing was inspired by a song from the band Iced Earth, called Hold at All Costs. Mainly the opening of the song is what got to me:

Just a mile or so away
Is my dearest friend in this world
He wears the blue and I the grey
And God it hurts me so
The last time we were together
I grabbed his hand and I pledged
If I ever draw my sword on you
My the good lord strike me dead

As many of you know, the Civil War literally split the country in two. Families and friends were divided and many had to face their own relatives on the battle field. Just thinking about having to fight someone like your best friend in a war like that boggles my mind. My heart really goes out to the fallen who had to deal with such a sad war. This drawing is dedicated to the blue and the grey.
