Personality: Ever optimistic, if there's an issue he'll dive headlong into it until it's either fixed or at least improved. Laughs a lot and likes to give hugs/use his hands. He's got a strong grip, in his hands and in his determination, but has the hardest time admitting that he was wrong. Even though he loves learning new things. He's also very analytical, and good at planning. Will occasionally get lost in his research, though. Prone to over-working himself, especially helping others.

Origin: Enjoys spending time with his wife Blythe and their kids Drystan(male, 12), Benoit (male, 10), and Erez (male, 8). Drystan is apprenticed to a metalsmith, Benoit is in school and relatively quiet/studious, and Erez is a mastermind with alchemy and trouble. Blythe used to be a guard/soldier, part of the nobility class, but she settled a bit when she and Adanil got married. She can still hold her own in a fight, and all of their kids train with them an each other on occasion.
Adanil is a studious mage, and while green was one of the harder magics for him to grasp he persevered until he got it! After brown, which was easier for him, and he ended up working on them in similar time frames, though focused on his brown sash first. Also he's a brown magic teacher, and also teaches archic history classes of varying kinds. He's on great terms with the Academy's librarian, almost had the job too if he hadn't shown such interest in actually doing things with magic. Adanil has recently received his red magic sash. No one is quite sure if he'll continue gathering types of magic, or if he'll be content with his current research. While he spends a lot of energy and time to research, practice, and teaching, he always makes sure to spend time with his family as well.

Adanil and Blythe were friends of Jakob's parents, notably regarding research, and Jakob visits them regularly now that he's in the Academy. They share advice, ideas, food, and support. Adanil isn't the only teacher of green magic, and to avoid supposed favoritism Jakob usually takes classes from other teachers, but Adanil's always willing to give him a hand. Makes him do his own work, of course, and sometimes a little extra... when Jakob is willing. They get along pretty well, and Jakob enjoys the family. Sometimes Jakob and Erez will go on 'adventures' that get a bit too troublesome, though...
