tumblr | YouTube | InstagramOliver is seeing his best friend Lilly who is a gardener and florist! Perhaps they are on their way to her garden, who knows?
This one took a lot of work! Three days straight to be precise, not counting the sketching and thumb nailing I did before really gettign started. I had a lot of fun with it though, especially painting a bunch of leaves again!
I was inspired by two things when painting this and that's the historical art period of rococo along with Winnie the Pooh. I always loved the settings and lightheartedness of Winnie the Pooh and I drew inspiration for the overall build and colours from classical rococo art!

Ahh it's always so interesting to see how any charasteristics of old art period styles play out combined with more modern eye.
This really does have that sort of a old-ish mood into it, the better kind. Fits into my current mood caused by multiple nostalgic happenings so well that I'm extra happy to see this!

I guess these in particular don't really exist as I painted them from imagination and used very little reference, however, making some google searches now afterwards I believe their closest resemblant is a flower called Wisteria. Flowers sure have cool names!
