Ah, I see. Mentioning them with the @ symbol does indeed alert someone, and is used as an indirect form of communication on DeviantArt. I always use it to ensure that proper credit is given.
Even though he never elaborated on it, he has seen my tickling art before and has acted very neutral on it, like he had no opinion on it at all.

Yeah, it's a handy tool for doing that. I use it myself as well for the same reason.

Yes, I'm sure that he would have mentioned it. Actually, since he was viewing my DeviantArt page on a Livestream, it seemed like he was trying to hide my tickling art from the other viewers in order to protect me from their criticisms, which I feel is very nice of him.
