beautiful like straight out of Silent Hill, which brings me to say that a furry version of silent hill sounds like fun would you say.

Ahh... Krystal. Who could resist? Nice background by the way. And I like the clothes you gave her.

LOL! There's too much Krystal art out there, but I had to contribute.

MDTartist83 In reply to imago3d [2011-02-28 02:09:59 +0000 UTC]

That's understandable. After all, Krystal's become one of the most important characters since her debut in Starfox Adventures.

Yeah, I know, but now when you say Star Fox to someone they say... "Oh, that blue fox?" *inward groan and laugh* But I remember wanting to throw the first Star Fox cartridge (mine was called Star Wing) out the window because that game was a pain in the butt.

I know what you mean. But for me, when I think of Starfox, I think of Fox Wolf, and all the primary characters of the series. Besides, for me, the whole thing started with the original SNES game which came out in 1993. God I still remember those days so well after all this time. Heh, you were gonna throw yours out the window? Sounds like you've had some difficulty with it.

*laughs* That's the one I'm talking about that old cartridge. God. I remember thinking the graphics were top notch then. Now, I look at games and I'm like... Wow. It's like watching a movie now. But I remember I rented Bubsy and Star Wing (which was an import or something.) and I played the heck out of Bubsy and then tried out Star Fox and crashed quite a few times... I finally did get it, but was still fairly bad at it but had a lot of fun. I can't remember the last time I rented a game. Renting was always a treat.

Awesome.

Yeah; the graphics from the original game were great for their time. In fact, looking back at that, I just think to myself; "It's amazing what Nintendo has managed to pull off in these last 18 years." But they can't compare with the highly detailed and revolutionary graphics we have today. Heck, today's games looks so realistic that its like watching a theatrical film. The video game industry sure has come a long way since the late 90s and the 2000s.

Definitely they have. I remember when I was a kid playing Pac Man and Donkey Kong that the graphics were the best there ever would be. Then when Super Mario 3 came out I didn't think they could get much better. Then it just kept going at a steady clip from that time. It was mind boggling when the Playstation and Xbox came out and the graphics kept getting pushed more and more. Now, models push the limits and graphics are like theatricals. (Dead Space 2 and a lot of the newer games really push it to the limit.) I think eventually we're not going to be able to tell the difference between live action and game. We're not there yet, but we are close.

Well done!

imago3d In reply to NezumiYuki [2011-02-15 05:48:04 +0000 UTC]

I don't know much about Blender. I use Lightwave for almost everything when I'm creating models. The fur in all my fur renders is done with the Sasquatch plugin for LW. It's really great but a superb pain in the tail to use. (However I could never figure out Maya's fur plugin. Ugh... So, insane.) But I seen your blender wolf head and it's really great. Keep at it!

Wow, your rendering skills are pretty darn good... ;3 Great work, I adore the lighting and how it looks realistic in the way it's coming through the window.

imago3d In reply to kaphrin [2011-02-15 04:02:06 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I do try to bring more realism in to my renders. Usually through subtle things like lighting or shadows. (Thanks for noticing. I always wonder if people catch the subtle things. )

For about 15 years now. (Maybe a little more then that I started in 1985 with horrible programs for the first PC-type computers.)
