Wow, this image is absolutely incredible. There is so much meaning behind it (at least that I can see.) The stock pic already had good composition, but it took you to find it and turn it into the incredible piece we see before us.
The cracked paint texture looks like you put alot of work into it. I would be quite interested in seeing how you acomplished that. I see that you used a brush by aleksandra, but which brush? I have this insane habit of trying to figure out how people create their masterpieces. In this case, however, I cannot fathom the technique.
As far as meaning goes, I find it incredible that this cracked and torn woman is gazing into the mirror at what would be her own reflection. It's like she sees herself as more than she superficially is, and she has fallen in love with that perception. It would scream narcissism, if it wasn't for the overwhelming message that you should look deeper into people than to see them only superficially. It's as if what would be narcissistic canceled out by the inferred meaning, and thus conveys a feeling of confidence rather than ego.
They butterfly tattoo next to the reflection's eye is stunning, as well. I have to admit, it almost seems to me that you did that only to show off... as if to say, "Daymn I'm good.. you thought that texture was cool? I can do tattoos, too!" hehehe. I say that only in jest. I think this piece is wonderful.
