Technically, I could have placed this in photography, but it's really the plate I wanted to feature. As such, there is no precise gallery for this piece, so I put it in the Etching section. Forgive my lack of conformity

This is a photo of my unprinted, uncleaned, unbitten zinc etching plate for my piece, Stockings. I almost like etchings at this stage better than when printed, for here you can see the beautiful silvery lines in great contrast to the brown hard ground. They almost stand out more at this stage.

This submission is also a kind of tribute to all transitory art: the works that must be destroyed to produce the final "art," and the times when you hope there's some higher power using your eyes as a camera lens to capture the images your camera can't possibly do justice.
