Description First-off: please excuse the poor scan quality. I make do with what i have

Second: this is a character i've been rolling around in my head today, based somewhat in the mythology of the Abhorsen series.

I hope to develop this one further, maybe make a finalized version, possibly larger or in another medium.

The parts i'm proud of: Chain mail leggings, whistling lips, and the crazy glaring eyes.

Needing improvement: proportions. I haven't drawn figures from memory in a very long time, so this one is somewhat off.

Still, she's one badass little girl. Don't mess with the Necromancer's daughter...especially if you're the Necromancer...

*ahem* I am so very glad that you did a Garth Nix-type piece.

The chain mail is fabulous and the layout is divine. And I kind of like the crazy proportions...it reminds me of the art of Dave McKean (just a little).

i'm thinking she might turn into a fanart/fic comic or illustrated story if i can wrap my head around it. She already has a ton of backstory just from me thinking about the image at work...

As long as you don't hook-up characters that don't belong together or make adults molest children, I think you're soul will be okay.

Fanfic can be good when you take the world of the original author and do something of your own. It's those horrid ones where girls become some random elven princess so they can marry the magical bishie of their choosing that are god-awful.

You'll be fine.

heehee...i think i'll make myself into some fabulous new charcter - I'm the TENTH bright shiner, yo.

or not. heh. I was really just planning to use the world/charter and add this little lady in. Somewhere in the wild North i think, where Nix isn't planning to write any stories. That way, i'll have minimal run-ins with the main characters in the series.
