Description caution! - very large picture

this is how i made those cuff bracelets (Flawless [link] Hot Chocolate, etc.)
i don't know the name of the original technique - edit: Autumn-beads and kufka say this is the right angled weave (RAW) technique - mystery solved!

you just follow the blue line and everything should be OK. oo, and use same-sized beads, otherwise it'll turn out messy (kinda like my hot chocolate, but i didn't have a choice, we don't have that quality of beads in all colors here )

if you have any questions just ask

i saw a similar bracelet in a magazine somewhere; the article said that it was some kind of a replica of an ancient technique - making intricate structures with metal beads, so i made this; i don't know if i got it right (most likely not even close because those beads were metal and looked like they were cast / forged?) but i'm happy with how these bracelets turned out

nope, i don't mind; i'm sure you won't make them exactly the same and this is (probably) not my invention so go ahead and good luck!

and thank you!

no, standard nylon thread 0,15mm
i don't think elastic thread would work
thank you!

Nice (^ I use 2 needles instead of 1 as described here and find it a bit faster way to deal with RAW.

2 needles =
i tried it once, got all tangled up and that was it for me hehe
but on the other hand this way does take insanely long...
thank you!

Great job! I guess it's a double- layer RAW technique.

IMNIUM In reply to kufka [2007-12-12 13:15:57 +0000 UTC]

quite possible
this can also be called multiple-layer RAW; it can go on as high as you want it to
Thank you both for the RAW info!
