Layla tilted her head as Kayla made her way over. Why had she held that thin thing in her paw? Why did it make her look so sad?

She gave no resistance as Kayla picked her up. Ever since the, as Kayla called it, 'Thunderstorm' She had gotten ok with the other gro touching her.

Kayla made a sniffling noise and held Layla to her chest a moment, then started walking.

Layla tried to look at her to see what was going on, but found no clues.

There was a sound, then the scenery are sounds around Layla changed.

Everything was brighter, and the smells around her seemed so fresh and inviting. Green and brown was all around her.

Layla felt her tail wag as she looked around Kayla. This was so exciting! She was out of the barn! Everything was so big! There were no walls!

Kayla sniffed and hugged Layla tighter a moment, then set her in the grass.

Layla mooed and smiled at the floor. Grass! Real grass! It felt so nice! It smelled so nice!

Layla huffed and mooed happily, spinning in circles to see everything.

Kayla sniffed and offered a smile to the young one.

"I love you Sunshine...And I always will." She sad softly.

Layla giggled and one scent caught her nose. She mooed excitedly and took off running.

Kayla watched her go with tear filled eyes, then turned and walked sadly back to her house.
