Honeydew stepped out of the borrow and yawned. He put his back against the sapling that was nearby and scratched his itchy fur with it.
A song bird flew up above, chirping thrice. The rabbit looked up excitedly and all kinds of creatures, big and small ran from their nests. They all followed the song bird.
"Wake up! Wake up!" Honeydew shouted as he thumped his back paw noisily on a log.
"Hey! What's going on here?!" Ridgeowl asked, annoyed that the rabbit had woken him.
"Wake up!" Honeydew shouted again.
"It's happened! It's happened!" one of his sisters shouted excitedly "The new prince is born!"
"Everybody's going to see him!" another shouted.
"Come on!" Honeydew added "You better hurry up." and with that the rabbit was hopping away.

They all ran into a more secluded and closed off are of the forest and up to a doe and he baby, who was cuddled up against her.
"Well look!" one of the creatures said quietly as to not awaken the child. "Isn't he cute?"
Ridgeowl landed on a nearby branch and smiled when he saw the baby. Honeydew and the rest of the rabbits crowded round as well.
"Well, heh, this is quiet an occasion" Ridgeowl stated "Yes sir, it isn't every day a prince is born. You are to be congratulated."
"Yes congratulations!" everyone said.
"Thank you very much." the doe answered "Come on." she leant down to her son "Wake up. We have company."
The baby opened his bright blue eyes and looked up.
"Hello! Hello little prince!" the others welcomed him.
He looked around in bewilderment.
"Woo, woo woo" Ridgeowl said. "Woo woo!" he leant towards the baby deer, who shied away against his mother.
Ridge chuckled which made him laugh.
"Look!" Honeydew stated and pointed at the baby. "He's trying to get up!" the baby deer pushed his back legs up all the way, waggling his tail as he did so and then pushed himself up with his front legs as well.
Honeydew stood next to him, watching and ready to catch him should he fall over. He began to fall forwards and then stopped himself, moving his ears around.
Honeydew ran behind him and he looked underneath to the rabbit, who crept forward and ran between his limbs, making the deer swag around on his feet.
"Kinda wobbly." Honeydew stated as he turned to face the others "Isn't he?"
"Honeydew!" his mother said, causing her son to curl up a bit in an apologetic way.
"Well he is..." he looked around to the baby. "Aren't yah?"
"Rawwrrrrrr!" the small deer shouted and he fell backwards onto his bottom next to his mother.
Everyone laughed as he looked around cluelessly.
"Looks to me like he's getting kind of sleepy." Ridgeowl stated and the baby deer yawned. "I think it's time we left."
And with that they all turned and began to leave.
"Shoo-shoo!" the owl told the creatures that still looked upon the prince.
Honeydew's mother looked back to see him in front of the baby, looking into his mouth as he yawned. "Honeydew come on!" the rabbit jumped after his mother, but turned to face the doe and her son once more.
"Watcha gonna call him?"
"Well..." the doe looked down at her now sleeping son. "I think i'll call him... Xephos."
"Xephos... yep that sounds alright." and with that said the rabbit hopped away.
"Xephos." the doe said before curling up around her son "My little Xephos."
