The emotion from this piece makes me think of two things. One is what the Holocaust survivors went through, and what I would feel if My daughter who passed years ago were to walk into the room right now. This touches the soul.

The sheer fact that I keep returning to this image because of the raw intensity it continues to punch in my face is just astounding. I failed to comment beforehand, my apoligies. Easily the best of DD's I have ever seen. I break into a little girl everytime I see this..

every part of this photograph almost slaps me in the face with emotion

The thing about studio photography is that I never know wether I should believe in the emotion or look for signs that it is staged.
The shot is nicely done, the lighting enhances the harshness of her facial features giving the image extra punch.
