My entry for =memnon0288 's contest - his character Trip the Radion, fully coloured!
See the lineart for the reason for the tightrope...I am seriously proud of this
The scanner mullered the colours a little, but it's still one of the only full-background pictures I've ever done, and only the second one done completely traditionally. I'm actually considering replacing Sacrifice with this as my best work yet! 
It took about... ummm... 5 or 6 hours? A lot, anyway. For all that, being realistic, I know I'm not going to win the contest
There's too many better artists than me entering, and people doing more than one of mem's characters. So, I haven't got a hope. I'm not that worried about it - I've wanted to draw trip for him for a long while now anyway, and the pose was good practice in perspective and lighting. So, I'm happy. I would be even happier if I won, but like I say, I'm being realistic 
Yay for over-saturated circus colours!

I like the perspective quite a lot, and your lineart is rather fetching.
The colours you chose are spot on! Like I'm really shocked at how perfect they are! I'd never be able to do that with traditional.
That said, the idea is clever and cute, too. xD

Lol, I have a set of 72 pencils which are blendable so I just picked the best colours, scribbled a pallette on my spare paper and held it up against the screen to get it right!

I like it. you've got good perspective on both the tightrope walker and the ground below and whatever the walker is supposed to be, it/he/she looks good. I think you could have put a little more into the crowd below. you would not want to go full out detail on their faces but a little variation would keep them all from looking like spheres and reinforce the illusion

The coloring looks great and since you are using traditional coloring pencils instead of digital coloring just makes it better.
