Description Third part of the first project for my Advanced Drawing class.

Multipurpose title. Taken from Rachel Carson's book by the same name concerning the effects of DDT on wildlife.

This one is pretty big for one of my watercolors. Might do more to it later, but I think it's close enough to "done" for me not to touch it for a while.
The yellow tone of the background is actually from my crappy room lighting, but I didn't shoop it out because I liked the tonality that it gave the piece.

Love you guys. Happy Valentine's Day c:

Wow. This is gorgeous. I can see this displayed on a wall with people walking passed, stopping, and being stuck in front of it in silent dialogue.

Beautiful.

I LOVE this. The jitteriness of the inking of the vultur contrasts beautifully with the way the paints flow over it. The little bricks in the background also have a nice contrast with the splashes of paint. The posture of the vulture is perfect. As someone with a biology degree, working on a veterinary degree, interested in wild animals and research: I really, really adore this.

W-wow! Thank you! :'D
I'm really honored to receive such a nice comment~

I've been playing with building up structure and breaking it recently, and I wasn't really aware of it until someone pointed it out to me... so it's interesting to have you confirm that with your comment

Ian! Oh my God. This is gorgeous. ;n;
This is lame, since I'm not really a fan, but it reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe. Just the way you handled the form, I guess? Your bird looks a bit like a flower, the way the... skin flaps? - LOL - flow in this totally organic flora sorta way. Or no, maybe like the ocean, a little bit. IDK MANG

It's just fucking cool.
And I dig the detail around the eye.
And also the background.

LAHV THIS, FFFF

Lol, thanks Ariel!
I... actually see what you mean with the O'Keefe comment! It's a little bit delicate in a way that I don't normally work. Hmm...

Haha, thanks! I'm actually wanting to do a warmish wash over this so that it looks like it does here. In person, the paper is white and its less exciting. P:

Welcome!
And okay, glad you get what I mean. It definitely seems more delicate than your normal stuff. Ennnteresting. *strokes beard*

Ohhh, that sounds cool! The yellow really seems to make it. But I'm always too scared to do a wash; I always fucking ruin things with them. *shrug*

Myes. At this point, I'm thinking that it's because the paper was quite big and I just wanted to cover a lot of space with a few even strokes.
Laziness wins! P:

Mm, I probably just won't do anything to it. *shrugs*

Love the eye, it's incredibly intriguing.

I of Orenda Fink's "That Certain-Something Spring" when I saw it.

That's a really pretty song. It feels nostalgic, but I can't place what it reminds me of...

Thank you! A lot of the ballpoint pen lines disappeared with the crappy photo, so there's a lot more detail there than you would think. P:
I really need a better camera
