Description
Someone asked me the other day why the new generation of kids are so dumb, disrespectful, and unmotivated. I say the same things I always say. It's the culture they were raised in and who they were raised by. I'm not saying every teenager these days is an idiot, but a vast majority fits into this category, and it's just plain sad.The media condones this idiocy. Drinking, drugs, sex, and dropping out of school are common themes. Be a rebel; drink and drive, drop out of high school at sixteen, get your girlfriend pregnant.
In my opinions, rebels are just plain stupid. Go ahead, be different, but don't ruin your life and others' while you do it.
Stupid jokes are funny. Stupid people are sad.
I vote for intelligence!
I just felt like ranting via stamp. Use if you wish, just give me credit.

Thank you guys for the 800+ favs. <3

Just found this stamp and I hate to admit it but I agree. When I find stuff utterly stupid I find them hilarious sometimes, depending on what the centred topic is though. However if I find people attempting to be stupid it's not funny at all.
I'm not certain if this is related but there's this one particular anime I adore the most out of all the ones I like, it's not insanely popular just so you know, unfortunately the majority of it's fanbase is chock full of tweens and weeabos that can't seem to get their heads straight when it comes to watching it.
That's just me but I'm one of the very few sane and older fans that regret to have such a fanbase where the non-sane fans don't get the fact on how idiotic they are.

I believe this is a stereotype. Yes, I agree that quite a few of us are stupid (And I did acknowledge the fact that you said that not all of us children are stupid) , but I think I can't help but still feel insulted...

Pfft, 100% agreed. I was a rebel as a teen but I didn't do the stupid shit kids do these days.
Also, running off to see your other stuff, per your request

I can't help feeling kids are getting dumber. Not all of them, just the vast majority.

I agree. But it's even worse when you actually have to go to school with them and put up with their idiotic doings everyday. I don't think I've ever had an intelligent conversation in that place before. I did have one friend who was my best friend for two years, he wasn't dumb, but he moved.

Damn.
I have to deal with dumb teenagers a LOT: I work the night shift in a convenience store in a small town. Some nights I want to stab them all in the eye with a pen.

Pretty much sums up my life. Even the ones who aren't complete fucking idiots usually act like morons just to be "popular".

(Most) teens are incredibly stupid; this is not necessarily in the IQ lower than five way, but more of the so gullible and easily led it's astonishing way. But look at who (or should I say what) a lot of them were raised by: the TV, the internet, and video games. They don't have parents who care, and so they turn to the idiocy in the media. So, in fifty years, when this nation is falling apart at the seams, just remember that we have only ourselves to blame for ruining our society, neglecting our kids, and indoctrinating the masses that anything goes and that one > the group.

I agree. There are rebels like this everywhere at my school and it gets worse each day. A friend on the bus told me that he once saw somebody smoke a joint behind one of the school buildings. Last year, I specifically remember a boy in computer class getting suspeded for looking at Internet porn. (I'm really not joking here. Teenagers, heck, no one, should be looking at that kind of thing.)
The saggy pants fad, the teen pregnancy, the swearing, the drugs, all of it is very stupid and can possibly harm you (even kill you), albeit all the kids at my school thinking that idiocy is supreme to intelligence and acting civilized. All of this leads to a horrile future, a low-paying job, injury, or even death.
I also notice that my school promotes negative stereotypes. A lot of people say that all black people are like this, so many of the black people at my school try to fit in with this stereotype, just for acceptance. I have black friends who tell me how they're angry at their peers for creating the stereotype and that they're not like this. And it goes downhill from there. Although there are Christians among every subculture, the ones at my school tend to be homophobic and judgemental. I'm Christian and not like that. I may not support gayness, but I see nothing wrong with gay people. They're human, just like us. I hate finding out that someone whose stereotype typically involves atheism actually is atheist. C'mon. You can be black and civilized. You can be Christian and accepting. You can be emo and worship God. Is it really that hard to be who you are and not conform to what society says you "should" be?
What has the world come to?

You are perfectly correct. I am a Christian myself, and I may not totally agree with (for example) homosexuality, but I'm not homophobic in any way. I believe being that way isn't even Christian at all. We're supposed to love everyone, and if they aren't Christian, don't place your standards upon them. And as for us being "Bible-Banging Converters", we Christians don't convert. God does. We may plant a little seed, but then the person has to choose to either neglect it, or give it warmth and water to watch it blossom.
Just my opinion.

When ever some kid acts tough and talks about how 'badass' he is and asks me what I'm doing with my life, I just say:
" I'm in my second year of high school, have great grades, I'm doing dual enrollment, AND virtual school.
It's hard work at times, but If I keep it going I'll be allowed to graduate early next year with the seniors.
There, I'll attend collage and an art school. After graduation from collage, I'm going to apply at Valve
software and be a concept artist for video games.
What are YOU doing with your life? "

Scientists have done some reaserch, and one of the problems with the new generations are hight self esteem. What is happening is that adults applaud their chidren for things they didn't do, like a child winns a race by far, but the adults say "You did great!" To the last kid in the race, or they say "everyone's a winner!" Thus hightening the vision on themselves. Contraicting the common belief on that hight self esteem makes sucsses more likely, it makes them more suceptable to depression when failing, and bosses find it hard to stomach their overblown egos, etc.
My own belief that it also makes them more cocky, and less willing to focus on their studies. That's not including the countries where they push the children to their limits, they have no choice.
